We have been working hard this summer with some remodels around the house.
We added a new flooring to the kitchen and living room.
Painted lots of walls.
Thanks to Pinterest and it's inspiration we have done lots of organization projects, too.
When I say "we" you do understand I mean my husband has been working hard all summer on my "honey do list," right??!!
After such an exhausting summer of painting and hammering and more painting and organizing and even more painting I decided it was time for a reward for this mommy.
So I planned a day for me and some of my mom friends.
We headed off on our day while leaving the kids with dads. I am a firm believer that dads need to experience a full day with the kiddos so they can appreciate more what we "stay at home moms" really do ALL DAY LONG!!
On this shopping trip I was looking for fun things for the house to bring all my projects together.
I didn't find everything I wanted but I was satisfied to find a lot of house decor I was looking for.
When we got married my husband's parents gave us this cute kitchen table that belonged to his grandparents. We have loved this table but it only came with 4 chairs, which has been fine for our family of 5 until the baby outgrew her highchair. Then we pulled out a trusted folded chair. But I wanted a nicer chair and if I was going to buy 1, I might as well buy a matching set, right??! So I did, I splurged and bought 6 chairs to match our antique table and I love them. (One of the chairs is being used in our living room for extra seating at the moment).
And do you spy that cute rug by the back door? Bought that too!
This I bought for my husband.
After spending many hours, days ripping up our old, ugly carpet and kitchen tile and replacing it with this beautiful linoleum flooring he cringed every time he saw the kids driving a car or bouncing a toy on it. So I bought this big area rug for our living room to protect the new flooring. Doesn't it bring the whole room together so nicely?
So I won't be spending money any time soon because I went on a big shopping trip and bought lots of fun decor for the house.
If only this statement was true (the beginning of it, groceries still need to be bought)!

Please don't judge me too harshly. My couch needs cleaned and my windows need washed BUT we have been playing too much for that kind of housework!
And last, on our shopping trip I bought lots of these cute, yet practical organization baskets.
Can I share a little secret with you? I absolutely love organization. I love taking a closet, ripping everything out and organizing it. I love rearranging a room and making it look like a new space. I love having bins for everything that can fit in a bin. I love having the perfect spot for everything in our home. It makes me giddy with excitement and makes me want to twirl and dance around, and sing in the shower!
So… I bought several of these baskets and was over the moon excited, dancing in the isle as my friends watched excited to find the clip on, dry erase labels!
So I won't be spending money any time soon because I went on a big shopping trip and bought lots of fun decor for the house.
